Liisa Rajala Malmgren
In the realm of legal prowess, Liisa Rajala Malmgren stands out as our Chief Legal Officer.
With a rich background in delivering top-tier legal counsel at Mannheimer Swartling, the largest and highest-ranked law firm in the Nordics, Liisa brings a wealth of expertise to Alight. Her primary role is optimizing our legal efficiency and guaranteeing the utmost level of legal services for both our business operations and customer projects.
In 2023, Liisa was shortlisted for The Lawyer 's General Counsel of the Year award and nominated for Corporate Lawyer of the Year in the Assignment of the Year.

Warren Campbell
Warren Campbell, our Deputy CEO, brings over two decades of expertise in the energy sector to Alight – combining deep industry knowledge and a passion for and experience of scaling companies.
His career includes 10 years at McKinsey, including serving as a Partner in McKinsey’s energy practice – developing a deep understanding of the industry. In his entrepreneurial stride, Warren co-founded and served as the CEO of Vireo Energy, a renewable energy business making waves in Eastern Europe as well as investing in and supporting a number of startups and scale-ups at the board level.
Today, as our Deputy CEO, Warren takes the helm of Alight's teams spearheading engineering, procurement, construction, and asset management for all our solar ventures. He also leads all our development activities, sourcing and developing new solar sites across the Nordics, ensuring Alight remains at the forefront of the energy transition.

Annelie Westén
Our Technical Asset Management Team Lead for Sweden, Annelie Westén, started working at Alight while she was studying engineering at KTH (Royal Institute of Technology). After finishing her degree in 2019, she embarked on a journey in technical asset management, making sure our assets in operations are performing in the best possible way. Today, she is responsible for the technical asset management team and oversees the operations of about 60 solar assets, including three of Sweden's five largest solar parks.
Annelie was listed on Aktuell Hållbarhets "33 under 33" list (2023) for her work driving impressive initiatives, like launching a pilot project with Husqvarna Group and Swedish University of Agricultural Sciences (SLU) to test electrified and autonomous lawn mowing in solar parks, which was a finalist for Dagens Industri's Sustainability Initiative of the Year. Before joining Alight, Johanna held prominent roles at Microsoft and Ericsson, where her strategic communication prowess earned her accolades. As an award-winning communications leader, Johanna brings a wealth of expertise to Alight, ensuring our business has an identity.

Founders
Richard Nicolin
Richard Nicolin, co-founder and Chief Investment Officer of Alight.
With a stellar 16-year career in finance, Richard co-founded Alight in 2013 together with two other co-founders. Prior to Alight, his journey led him through the corridors of the Swedish PE firm Nordstjernan and the global consultancy giant, Bain & Co.
At Alight Richard leads the investment team which is responsible for ensuring that Alight invests its capital into high-quality solar and BESS assets. Richard’s team also secures the project debt financing complementing Alight’s own capital invested in assets.
Harald Överholm
Harald Överholm, our co-founder and CEO, brings a wealth of experience to the table.
Formerly a cleantech venture capitalist and advisor on solar markets to the WWF and the Swedish Government, he holds a PhD from the University of Cambridge, specializing in solar diffusion and PPA. He's actively involved in shaping solar business models as a member of the International Energy Agency’s PVPS workgroup. With past roles at the Stockholm Environment Institute and the Swedish Solar Energy Association, Harald is a seasoned expert steering our sustainable journey.
