Benefits - Sweden based hires
-
Remote work
You have the flexibility to work remotely from anywhere in Europe (in most positions), or you can decide to work hybrid/fully on-site at one of our offices in Stockholm, Madrid, Gothenburg, Paris, or Malmö.
We’ll support your home office setup, including subsidies for equipment like adjustable desks and office chairs.
-
Occupational pension (ITPI)
We offer occupational pension to all our permanent employees, the premium is calculated in line with Swedish collective agreements (ITP1) as 4.5 percent of the gross salary up to 7.5 of the current year’s income base amounts (Sw. Inkomstbasbelopp) and 30 percent of the salary components that exceed that sum.
-
Recharge when you need it
As an Alighter, you’ll have 30 days of paid vacation and the option to exchange public holiday days for other days off. We also offer an annual wellness allowance of 5000 SEK.
At our HQ in Stockholm, we also have weekly activities like lunch runs and Thursday yoga sessions.
-
Salary exchange plan
Alight also offers a salary exchange plan (Sw. löneväxling). Salary exchange is a voluntary pension provision, which involves deducting a percentage of your gross salary before tax to invest in a pension savings account.
The employee can also choose to have all compensation paid out as salary, i.e. to have no contributions by Alight to occupational pension.
-
Parental leave top up
Alight tops up the pay you receive from both the Swedish Social Security Insurance Agency (Sw. Försäkringskassan) to about 90% of your salary. During your first two years, Alighters get two months of parental pay top-up, and after that you qualify for the full six months of parental pay.
-
Be a part of Alight's success
We believe in giving our employees incentives to create the best possible impact, and today many of our employees are shareholders. Historically we’ve regularly had warrant/option programs that give our employees the option to own a part of Alight. We also give our employees the option to buy shares when the opportunity arises (e.g. when any of our owners sells shares, we're not a listed company).

Bike benefit
All permanent Alighters who live in Sweden have the opportunity to rent a bike with monthly payments deducted from their gross salary. The rental period is 36 months and when that time has passed you can either choose to return the bike free of charge or purchase it for a small sum.
Activites
We have Friday breakfast every second week, Guest lecturers with dinner, team dinners, and sports activities. But there are also a lot of spontaneous activities driven by our employees!
Each quarter we also have "Alight Next," our company-wide meetup, a two-day strategy day with workshops, lectures, and team building in which we focus on the next quarter. We also always have some fun activities planned during those meetup days, examples being ski trips, sailing, dinners, and parties
