Junior Project Coordinator (P&C)
Are you ready to kick-start your career in renewable energy and help bring solar projects to life across Europe?
At Alight, our purpose is simple yet bold: to kick carbon off the grid by helping businesses save money with solar from day one. As one of Europe’s leading solar independent power producers (IPPs), we develop, own, and operate solar and battery storage projects that help accelerate the energy transition.
Now, we’re looking for a Junior Project Coordinator to join our Procurement & Construction team, supporting the delivery of solar projects across Europe. This is a unique opportunity to grow your career in a fast-moving international environment, working side by side with experienced engineers, project managers, and commercial teams who are redefining how solar projects are built and delivered.
Your impact
As a Junior Project Coordinator, you’ll play a key role in helping our projects move smoothly from early negotiation to final construction. You’ll make sure deliverables are tracked, stakeholders stay aligned, and documentation remains organized — keeping our projects on schedule and on budget.
You’ll gain hands-on exposure to every phase of a project: from supporting tender processes and partners selection to visiting construction sites and learning how large-scale solar projects come together. This is a learning-rich, fast-paced environment where curiosity and initiative are highly valued.
KEY OBJECTIVES & RESPONSIBILITIES
Support in preparing Requests for Proposals (RFPs) and assisting with partners selection.
Help negotiate and prepare contracts with suppliers and subcontractors.
Assist in the preparation of final documentation for contract sign-off.
Participate in site visits across Europe with your manager.
Support the planning, scheduling, and monitoring of project timelines, milestones, and deliverables.
Help track project budgets, costs, and procurement activities.
Record and follow up on project risks, dependencies, and blockers.
Coordinate with internal teams to ensure partners deliver on time and within scope.
Support internal reporting, presentations, and communication updates.
Keep project documentation up to date (meeting notes, progress reports, risk registers).
Help improve tools, workflows, and internal processes to strengthen team efficiency.

To ensure we attract the best talent out there, we don't limit ourselves to a specific location. Alighters are based across Europe and our diverse backgrounds and skills complement each other well.
We know that having a diverse team drives better collective decisions and superior business performance. Today our gender split is 44/56, with 15 nationalities and employees in 6 countries.

-
As an Alighter, you’ll have 30 days of paid vacation and the option to exchange public holiday days for other days off. We also offer market-leading insurance programs for all our employees, together with an annual wellness allowance of €500 (5000 SEK).

While we take our role in driving the green transition seriously, we know how to have fun. We believe that a positive team spirit enhances our collective impact. Some examples of planned activities are Friday breakfast every second week, Guest lecturers with dinner, team dinners, and sports activities. But there are also a lot of spontaneous activities driven by our employees!
Each quarter we also have "Alight Next," our company-wide meetup, a two-day strategy day with workshops, lectures, and team building in which we focus on the next quarter. We also always have some fun activities planned during those meetup days, examples being ski trips, sailing, dinners, and parties

We’re committed to helping you grow and embrace new areas of responsibility, whether vertically or horizontally.
It’s common for our team members to be promoted to leadership roles or transition into entirely new domains. We have structured career coaching, internal training programs, performance reviews, and goal-setting frameworks to help you develop your career.
